two dreams..

Alhamdulillah, two of my longtime dreams are fullfilled during my one-week vacation just now.

When I was a small kid, back in early to mid nineties around 1995 when I was seven, almost everyday in my life was filled by news about the Bosnian war, the civil war between the Serbs and the Bosniaks primarily.

The Bosniaks wanted the independence of Bosnia-Herzegovina from Yugoslavia and the Serbs they wanted that Bosnia remains with Yugoslavia.

My dream is to be at a war zone, to observe the war so that I can appreciate peace even more. But I know it is almost impossible for me to be there, even if I am a soldier I don't think I will have the ball to risk my life at a war zone.

So that was it, the closest I could do to fullfill my dream is going to the place at the earliest possible time after the war. But not that much can be seen now.

I was impressed by the fact that Bosnia managed to recover from the war quite quickly, physically. But I don't know mentally.

The war was horrible, especially what have been done by the Serbs for the so called 'ethnic cleansing'. They killed Bosniaks men, and they rape Bosniaks women in order to make them pregnant and carry a Serb boy.

Everytime I walk in Sarajevo, I asked myself, are these young men are victims?

My second dream is about Disneyland. Again, around 1994 and 1995 I was a subscriber of the Mickey Mouse magazine, and they were lots of articles about Disneyland.

It was always a dream for me to step my feet on a Disneyland soil. And Alhamdulillah it was actually fullfilled back in December 2009 when I went to the Florida's Disneyland in Orlando, the USA.

But I didn't really had a chance to discover the parks because we had just a little time to discover it. We were supposed to spend the whole day of Dec 31st in that Disneyland. But we couldn't manage to enter it because there were too many people there. We wanted to celebrate new year there, so did the others, I talk about thousands people.

The next day we are supposed to leave, it was a long drive, 20 hours drive from Orlando to New York as I needed to catch the flight back to Paris. So we had just like few hours, maybe it was only 2 hours to explore the magic kingdom, the most important park at Disneyland Florida.

So Alhamdulillah finally in my 6th year in France I finally managed to visit Disneyland Paris, and I did it in style as we also spent a night staying at one of the 7 Disneyland Paris hotels, we stayed at Cheyenne hotel. It was awesome, a cow-boy town themed hotel.

I think I will write about this in detail later. So keep watching this space :)
