Back then, life was just so simple. Internet usage was limited. We had internet and PC in our home, but I only used it to search for Dragon Ball pictures, it was back in 1997.

We had no Astro. TV1, TV2 and TV3 provided enough entertainment for us. At the end of the year, it rained quite heavily in the east coast. Once the rain stopped and sunshine reappeared, it was heaven because the empty land lot in front of my home started to dry and we can go find fishes in it.

Orang melayu panggil berkubang dalam baruh. Mase ujan air dia banyak sangat ikan senang lari, tapi bila ujan stop dan matahari slow2 mula memancar, air kering tinggal tanah lumpur lembap2. Tu yang paling syok tu.. Cari ikan puyu/sepat atau ada rezeki dapat haruan. Perh sedap gile main lumpur tu.

I consider myself very lucky to be able to live in that transformation period, plus the location of my home, not too far from the town and at the same time it is located inside a village so I had like a perfect combination.

My childhood was full filled by activities like playing roller blade (in-line skate) which can be considered as a 'mainan budak bandar', flying the kite and etc. Hey, I'm not talking about the RM0.40 kite with Ultraman picture bought at the kedai runcit ok.
