Bonne année!

9 days into 2013, it is still not too late for me to wish a very happy new year to all, may 2013 will be an even better year than 2012!


Let me do a quick recap of what have been happening to me during 2012. It was a year full of adventure and uncertainty for me.


January : Arrived back in France after 2 weeks vacation in West Coast of the USA where I went to LA, Vegas and San Diego. Time for the hard found truth, yes finally I graduated! After an extra semester finally I managed to pass the degree. Then quickly pack my things to go back to Malaysia. My very 1st job interview done in January and I successfully hired by a giant oil field services company. Then goyang kaki while waiting to start working, waiting for the back ground check to be completed.

February : 1st time ever in my life suffering acid reflux or gastric. Dulu aku ingat gastric ni sakit perut biase je. Rupanya gile nye sakit sampai tak leh tido malam. 4 weeks I suffered because of this. At nights, I drove alone in pain to the hospital for injection. It was still a mystery why it happened because I never skip meal. In February, still wait for the background check, finally they told me I could start working in March.

March : 1st time ever in my life I work. It was a great feeling of finally being employed. It was annoying because I worked there according to European working hour. Started at 2pm everyday, finish at 11pm. Bak kata lagu Loque tu 'Kanda kerja malam, dinda kerja siang, jadi bila nak bertemu'. No traffic jam, no curse on my way to work back then. After I worked there for 10 days, suddenly I received a call from Slambejay for phone screening before they shortlisted me a week later, asked me to go for a group interview session.

April : Nothing much, getting used to my work then, makin terer buat keja IT tu. Hurm, maybe 2 stages of interview for my current job.

May : A month with 2 interviews for my current job and 1 and only stage of interview for my 2nd company. Successful, there I gave my 24-hour resignation notice period to my 1st company. Of course they were shocked by this act, but they somehow expected this. They knew that I was looking for 'Engineering satisfaction'. Cuti free seminggu sementara mula jadi 'Engineer'. Haa now entering 8th year of love :)

June : Finally started working as Engineer. Project Engineer for a ground-breaking project. Everything is awesome with this company. Lots of outsation, kejap-kejap pegi site. Seronok gile makan sedap memanjang dan claim macam-macam jenis benda. Heaven! Sekelip mata berat ku yang di maintain selama beberapa bulan hancur dalam 2 minggu. Finally after hiding for a while, I came clean to my education sponsor that I am not going to further my studies to Master's level as I secured a job which is too good to turn down. Went to Phuket with my school friends, it was an awesome trip!

July : Ulang-alik KL-Pasir Gudang memanjang. Finally I was hired for my current company after 5 stages of interview. It was very hard for me to hand the resignation letter as I am still new at the company, and the company has been good to me. But the move had to be made, for the best of myself (best?!) Then puasa, banyak duk kat site, banyak kali jugak la buka puasa sambil lagu 'menyendiri lagi' terngiang di fikiran..

August : Raya paling bosan di dunia.. Only my little family was in Terengganu, the big whole family was in Nilai. Serious, shittiest hari raya ever, I hate that so much.

September : This was the end. Say goodbye to Pipelaying and say hello to Drilling. I made a lot of good friend at that place, it was very hard for me to leave, I even secretly prayed so that I wont be hired, so no headache for me to leave the company. So another challenge, a new place. New environment.

October : Finally balik ke negeri tanah tumpah darah. Work in peaceful Kemaman. This is a shitty place to live, but thanks to work and friend, these keep me alive. To survive in such place, just keep yourself busy with work and with friends.

November : Finally pegi pon Offshore yeay. Suke sangat la mase tu, jakun la sikit 1st timer kata kan. Makan je sedap, lain pada tu biasa je. Sebulan laa jugak onboard. Zzzzzzz

Dec : Another month spent offshore. Luckily at on the 27th I managed to escape and have my new year celebration with favorite school friends in Langkawi!


Macam tu lah lebih kurang taun 2012 aku. Anda bagaimana? Don't know what to expect in 2013. I hope this will be another good year. Survive the work, stay strong. Lots of love, get married finally? Hopefully..
